Matt and Scott couldn’t make the show tonight but James Dortch swooped in to save the day! As soon as he walked in the studio we started talking about Star Wars so I impromptu started recording. After some Rogue One discussion we actually started the show talking Warcraft, Final Fantasy and Christmas gift exchange games. This was a really awesome episode where we strayed far away from the show notes for most of the show but in a great way. Glad to have recorded this episode.
Intro song: Between The Buried and Me
Intro song 2: The Playing Field
Outro song: Brad sucks
David and I haven’t done a Film Flam in over two years! This was a great come back! Mainly because neither David nor myself had ever seen the movie AIR before but where both intrigued by a Norman Reedus starring, Robert Kirkman produced sci-fi movie, filmed on a small set with a small cast. Check out the episode to get our take on the film and our guessing the conclusion of the movie while watching.
Merry Christmas! This episode is full of Christmas cheer and retail loathing. Joined by intern Cam Winston we go over holiday related earbuds and streaming picks, we talk about terrible Christmas gifts and America’s terrible taste in amazon purchases.
So I don’t remember doing a top ten Christmas movies last year, at least I didn’t remember doing one before we started recording, but once I listed a few I realized that I possibly had not only done one before but listed the same movies. In any case here is a list of ten (really twenty) of my favorite Christmas movies.
Had a great time talking to Eddie from Alomar. I wanted to know how and why Eddie writes such personal songs. In the end it was an inspiring interview that touched the making of Midwestern and the upcoming Citycop album.
